Waifus aren't reserved for kind and heroic characters, several anime villains have become fan favorite waifus. Terrifying powers and ruthless cunning aren't a villain's only attributes. Some villains wield their beauty like a weapon, while others are indifferent about their lovely features. There's more to attraction than conventional concepts of beauty, too.

A character's grace, strength, style, or even care towards select individuals, can be a huge factor in what makes them attractive to fans. Villains aren't meant to be liked, generally, but sometimes there's just something about these characters that make people love them. Villains may not make the best love interests, but there's no doubt that some of them are too gorgeous to dismiss.

10 Zazan (Hunter X Hunter)

Zazan Laughing At Feitan In Hunter X Hunter

An ant queen may not be what first comes to mind when a person thinks of a gorgeous villain, but Hunter x Hunter's antagonist Zazan proves otherwise. Though she's a self-proclaimed chimera ant queen, she has more of the look of a lethal scorpion.

Zazan was vicious, but naive. She had an unshakable confidence that certain fans loved, which was unfortunately her downfall when she faced off against Phantom Troupe member Feitan. Zazan's scorpion tail might've been outputting, but she still maintained a beautiful face and the rest of her body was still mostly human. She's one of shonen anime's more ruthless villains.

9 Yura (InuYasha)

Yura of the Hair is a minor antagonist in InuYasha, but she leaves a lasting impression in fans' minds for her Black Swan-level grace and absolutely creepy hair and bone based powers. Yura has more than beauty going for her, too; she is the first serious threat to Kagome and Inuyasha.

8 Konan (Naruto: Shippuden)

Naruto has many attractive, complicated villains, and Konan is the most elegant. Her blue-gray hair complements her sad and catlike amber eyes. She has a likable personality, too. She's calm and self-contained, as well as incredibly powerful. Though her facial expressions are rare, her stark and strange beauty is plain to see.

Konan's tragic backstory makes her sympathetic. Her looks as well as her capacity for empathy and romantic feeling make her a compelling villain, too. She well earns the title "God's Angel" as she's like a mourning angel of old.

7 Miss Doublefinger (One Piece)

Miss Doublefinger is the central antagonist of One Piece's Arabasta Arc. Zala is a vampy character with gorgeous curly blue hair, dark green eyes, and an almost punk-like wardrobe. The Devil Fruit she eats only adds to her punk look by transfiguring her hair into full-on liberty spikes.

She's not the worst of the worst kind of villain, either, she has her moments where she pulls her punches. For all of Zala's calm nature and whimsical fashions, she's a great fighter. Her skills in battle only add to her appeal, of course.

6 Balalaika (Black Lagoon)

Balalaika of Black Lagoon pulls off a draped military coat like no other. She's one scary woman, going from "military hero" to criminal maniac with determination and finesse. She's tall with long hair and a sense of elegance that not even a cruel moniker can take away.

Not only is Balalaika gorgeous, she's a great leader. She wouldn't be able to keep her position if she wasn't. But she leads her soldiers and conducts business so well that she earns respect – even if she is terrifying.

5 Thetis (Sailor Moon)

It makes sense that Thetis would want to collect energy for the Dark Kingdom through a love cruise scheme in the first season of Sailor Moon. If there's a villain who could inspire love even as she concocts a devious plot, it's her.

Thetis has two forms, a human-passing form with large eyes and blunt-cut blue hair, and a demonic form fit for a vengeful sea demigod. Not only is she gorgeous, she's one of the more gifted youma. She can teleport, shape-shift, and summon golems as well as be easy on the eyes.

4 Tatsumaki (One Punch Man)

One Punch Man's Tatsumaki has good reason for being arrogant, and it's not because of how cute she is with her green hair and Morticia Addams-like dress. Though that helps, of course. She is also one of the most powerful S-class heroes.

Tatsumaki has a bit of a tsundere edge, which endears her to many fans who enjoy that kind of dynamic. She's not easy to deal with – she's likely to have a temper tantrum if someone merely points out how short she is. Tatsumaki may not be nice, but in a way, she's lovable.

3 Queen Nehelenia (Sailor Moon)

Queen Nehelenia set against the backdrop of a moon in Sailor Moon

One of Sailor Moon's greatest antagonists, Queen Nehelenia is a gothic goddess draped in a flowing black designer dress. Her crescent moon adornments are fit for a witch or Stevie Nicks, herself. Not to mention. Nehelenia's perfected her expression of absolute disdain.

Queen Nehelenia's obsession with beauty and staring in the mirror, worrying over her looks wasting away seems to be inspired by the Evil Queen from the fairy tale Snow White. She certainly embodies the concept of a devastatingly gorgeous, and devious, fairy tale queen.

2 Android 18 (Dragon Ball Z)

Android 18 starts out as a villain in Dragon Ball Z and finds her way to the good side. Her romance with Krillin is adorable in its union of opposites. One single kiss from her was enough to seal with deal with Krillin, even if he was scared out of his mind in the actual moment.

1 Striga (Castlevania)

Striga with hair blowing in the wind in Castlevania.

There are few villains more crush-inducing than Striga in Castlevania. Even though she's an antagonist, she has some semblance of a moral code, and her defining characteristic is how much she loves her wife, Morana.

Striga's husky voice, wide shoulders, warm heart, and gift for battle strategy make her a villainous partner anyone would be lucky to have on their side. Striga is so brave that she would even don day armor and brave the killing sun to protect her beloved. It's hard to find a villain more swoon-worthy than her.
