Chainsaw Man Chapter 134 Recap

The latest chapter of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man manga, Chapter 134, "Ordinary Happiness," delved further into the influence and dangers of the recently established Chainsaw Man Church. It opened with Denji and Nayuta heading home after their encounter with Yoshida, who informed Denji that he would kill Nayuta if he ever transformed into Chainsaw Man again. After the pair got home, Denji admitted to her that he had no intention of ever taking on his fiend form again, as he didn't want her to die. Despite this, she questioned whether that would make him truly happy.

The protagonist sat on this thought and even spoke to Pochita about it before Meowy -- Power's former pet cat -- arrived. Denji then watched TV instead of sleeping and saw a debate on the screen about the church. He witnessed Haruka arguing for them and eventually claiming they could speak to Chainsaw Man. After hearing this, Denji expected his phone to go off, but another unnamed hunter spoke up and claimed to be the human/devil hybrid. The chapter ended with Denji lamenting this sudden twist.

Chainsaw Man fans have recently received good news after rumors of an upcoming Season 2 for the studio MAPPA anime adaptation broke across the internet, as well as speculation on a movie adaptation. Some have pointed out that the "Reze" arc -- the next one to be adapted after the first season's conclusion -- would be the perfect option for this feature-length experience thanks to its length. Additionally, the franchise's popularity has continued to thrive as fanart of Makima and even crossovers with Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have been created by the loving fanbase.

Studio MAPPA's anime is available to watch on Crunchyroll. The manga can be read on the VIZ Media website.
