  • To save her friend Mal from a life of debt and servitude, Kayla alongside her trusty giant frog Grok enter the Kingdom Races. An epic, dangerous race that brings riders from all across the kingdom to race on behalf of their homes, and their greatest wishes. Kayla will have to outrace some of the most experienced and dangerous riders in existence to save her friend's future. The beginning of a bold new fantasy world is here!

Editor Dave Wielgosz said of Kingdom Riders, "Shannon, Marcus and Luis have built a stunning fantasy world to inhabit in the pages of Kingdom Riders. There's so much beauty, majesty, and imagination in these pages. However, like all great fantasy stories, to make all of those things work, the story has a beautiful heart. In this case, it's Kayla, who is willing to sacrifice everything to ensure that her friend has a better life. It's a timeless story that this creative team executes at a high level!"

"We truly believe we have something that adds a perfect entry point to fantasy for every reader while engaging all of us who are already fans of Tolkien, Gygax, Howard, Lewis, Martin, Le Guin and more," said Denton. "I also can't say enough about my co-creator, Marcus To, and the visual dynamism he's bringing to the world of fantasy that's giving us something breathtakingly new in the fantasy space.

"...I always wanted this story to be something that had the same impact on me as when in my youth I discovered The Hobbit and the Advanced D&D Dungeon Masters Guide. Books that set my mind racing, inspired me to a lifelong love of fantasy, a career doing this, and often revisit as an adult with a newfound appreciation for what they did for me."

To added, "I've been working in comics for 20 years and been a fan much longer than that and working on this book allowed me to really dive deep into why I fell in love with comics in the first place. What Shannon and I were able to do with Kingdom Riders was to create characters and a world where we could inject all our creative inspirations and experiences into...When you pick up Kingdom Riders we can promise you a fast paced and fun ride with amazing characters and their beasts. You're gonna be introduced to this wonderful world we've created and we're just getting started."
