The former World Noble and King of Dressrosa, Donquixote Doflamingo, comes to life in an attitude-filled One Piece cosplay.

Shared by Reddit user Akira, the Joker costume features the character's signature feathery pink coat and red-lensed sunglasses. The cosplayer fully embodies Doflamingo's charismatic and arrogant personality in the uploaded photo, sticking their tongue out and reaching towards the camera as if to strike using the powers of the Ito Ito no Mi -- a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that provides the ability to control strings.

One Piece's Doflamingo

Doflamingo is introduced to One Piece's story as a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and serves as a major antagonist for multiple arcs in the narrative, including "Marineford" and "Punk Hazards." By the end of the Dressrosa Saga, he is ultimately defeated by the combined efforts of Monkey D. Luffy, the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates and Trafalgar D. Water Law (aka the Surgeon of Death), and he ends up stripped of his title and imprisoned in Impel Down.

The captain of the Donquixote Pirates isn't the only former member of the Warlords of the Sea to recently inspire cosplays that overflow with confidence and swagger. For example, Katerina posted their take on the Pirate Empress, Boa Hancock, which captures the character's stunning beauty. Moreover, TheLoneliestExpat reimagined Sir Crocodile through a genderswapped cosplay that greatly resembles additional artwork by One Piece mangaka, Eiichiro Oda.

During some of the manga's most recent chapters, the World Government and Marines did away with the Warlord system, creating a myriad of challenges and opportunities for the former members. Notably, Sir Crocodile, Dracule Mihawk and Buggy the Clown formed a new organization called Cross Guild, which resulted in the latter actually being crowned one of the new Yonko alongside Luffy. Many fans have begun speculating that the trio will begin recruiting the other former Warlords with some pointing out that both Hancock and Doflamingo would give the group significant power boosts.

Oda began publishing his One Piece manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1997 and the ongoing series has surpassed over 1,000 individual chapters. The mangaka has revealed that the story has entered its final saga, which kicks off with the "Egghead" arc, but Oda also stated One Piece will not end anytime in the near future. Furthermore, he recently reassured fans about the narrative's conclusion by debunking the fan theory that the titular treasure is the friends Luffy made on his journey.

VIZ Media distributes Oda's manga in North America.
