Rosario Dawson hopes for a future in her leading role as Ahsoka Tano ahead of the highly-anticipated Star Wars Disney+ series.

According to Games Radar, Dawson said in an interview that she hopes Ahsoka producer Dave Filoni shares her vision of exploring the Star Wars character before praising his talent. "I think he's one of the greatest I've ever worked with in this medium and in this space," she said. "And I hope that he continues to bring Ahsoka along. Because he's been very loyal to her over the years, and she to him. That's not going away anytime soon. So any kind of way and iteration that I can keep working with Dave, and being inspired by him, and challenging him when I can – it would be awesome." The actress described herself as a fan of his work and frequently picked his brain on the set of the Disney+ series about his vast knowledge of the Star Wars universe.

Dawson made her debut as Ahsoka in The Mandalorian Season 2. The character, created for the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will star in the 8-episode limited series Ahsoka. He served as the creator of the animated series Star Wars Resistance and the 2021 animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, which has been picked up for a third season.
