Everybody has their favorite cards in Marvel Snap, whether they are beloved Marvel characters or just excellent cards in the game. The best cards stand out for their low Energy cost, high Power output, or a genuinely useful ability. But there are plenty of great cards that just slip under the radar. These underrated cards deserve more of the spotlight that overpowered cards ultimately take for themselves.

Marvel Snap's most underrated cards may well get buffs in the future, but don't necessarily need to be fixed. They simply need to be appreciated more. They have great value and potential; Marvel Snap players just need to know the best way to apply them.

10 Nick Fury

Nick Fury finally received a buff in the June 22nd Balance Updates — making him a 4-Cost 5-Power card and bringing him some much-deserved attention. Nick Fury was criminally underrated before as a 5-Cost 7-Power card, and arguably will be again once the excitement about the buff has died down.

Nick Fury's ability adds 3 random 6-Cost cards to the player's hand. This has always been a fun addition to a deck, yet it has gone largely unnoticed because of his 5 Energy Cost. Fury's buff should catapult him to the very top tier of Marvel Snap cards, since players can discount his 6-Cost cards and potentially play two of them.

9 Juggernaut

Juggernaut card from Marvel Snap.

Juggernaut is a fairly popular Marvel Snap card, but it's never earned a reputation for being the best of the absolute best. This 3-Cost 3-Power is a one-man wrecking crew, moving any opposing cards played at its location that turn to a different location.

Juggernaut can protect a location on the final turn, stop a planned strategy from taking hold, and swat cards into Kingpin or Fisk Tower's destructive paths. Juggernaut is criminally underrated and underutilized, given how game-changing he can be against opponents who don't fill all their locations.

8 Titania

As far as 1-Cost cards go in Marvel Snap, they don't get any more chaotic than Titania. With 5 Power, Titania's second to only Ebony Maw, but she comes with an added twist. Titania switches sides whenever a card is played at her location.

Many Marvel Snap players avoid Titania because of her quirk, but it makes games of Marvel Snap unpredictable and exciting. Players must calculate and anticipate where Titania will end up, if they play or don't play certain cards. Because most players are solely focused on winning, they don't truly appreciate what Titania brings to the game.

7 Rogue

Rogue has risen up the meta pecking order in recent weeks, but she still isn't quite at the level of appreciation she deserves. A 3-Cost 2-Power card, her On Reveal steals a random opposing Ongoing ability at that location. Rogue is essentially a cheaper Enchantress with less spread that doesn't risk affecting any allied cards. She also steals a potentially game-changing ability for herself.

Rogue can steal valuable protection and power from cards like Luke Cage, Darkhawk, Devil Dinosaur, or even Knull. She provides protection against most decks and archetypes in Marvel Snap, and brings a great deal of adaptability to each game.

6 Negasonic Teenage Warhead

Negasonic Teenage Warhead's Marvel Snap card is ultimately as chaotic and dangerous as her character and name suggest. Once Negasonic is in-play, the next time anyone plays a card at her location, both cards get destroyed.

Players often steer clear of using Negasonic because of this, since they don't understand destroying one's own 5-Power card. Negasonic can be used on the final turn to protect a location from a potential opposing 6-Cost card, but it can also contribute significant Power and value to an allied Knull.

5 Ghost Rider

The art of resurrecting discarded cards is likely to get a resurgence in the future. For now, the archetype rests solely on the shoulders of Hela and Ghost Rider. Hela brings back every card that the user has discarded that game, and is seen as the core leader for discard revival decks. However, Ghost Rider shouldn't be overlooked.

Ghost Rider brings back one discarded card to its location. Due to its smaller scale and cost, it can slot into almost any deck. Ghost Rider can pair with Lady Sif to bring back a purposely discarded Giganto or The Infinaut. It can also be on-hand to bring back cards that the opponent attacked.

4 Dazzler

Dazzler's rare variant card against a Marvel Snap promotional art background

Dazzler is a Pool 3 card that most Marvel Snap players won't even know exists. In fact, even Dazzler's buff in the June 13th Balance Updates got overshadowed by the Galactus nerf. However, now armed with an Ongoing ability that adds +2 Power for each full location that the player has, Dazzler has some late-game worth.

Dazzler has a place in Sera Control decks as a final-turn play alongside Kitty Pryde, Mysterio, Hit-Monkey, and another 1-Cost, potentially bringing 8 Power of her own. She even slots seamlessly into Silver Surfer decks, where she can get +2 Power just from being a 3-Cost card.

3 Viper

Viper's Marvel Snap card against promotional image background

Disruption cards will always be in a place where players hate to play against them, but love to have them. Viper is a perfect example of this, since she sends over an allied card to the opponent's side of that location. A player isn't likely to send over one of their own good cards on purpose, meaning that there will normally be some disruptive strategy at play.

Viper has always been used to send over cards like The Hood, Rocks, and even return a Green Goblin, but there are other ways to use Viper that players simply overlook. Viper can assist with elaborate Galactus plays, shockingly clearing a location by sending a card over and then being dragged away by Ghost-Spider. Viper is a fun and clever card to use, but because of its random and potentially catastrophic ability, players don't appreciate its qualities.

2 Sentry

Sentry And The Void's Marvel Snap cards against promotional art background

Sentry is one of several Marvel Snap cards to have multiple conditions and potential negatives that simply put players off. At face value, Sentry is an exciting 4-Cost card that can be made even cheaper with Zabu and Sera, and it has a staggering 10 Power. This is where the deal-breaking restrictions come into play. Sentry can't be played at the right location, since this is where a -10 Power Void card appears following Sentry's On Reveal ability.

In this current era of Marvel Snap, negative-Power cards can be dealt with. Carnage and Deathlok can destroy it, or Viper can work her magic and simply send The Void over to the opponent's side. Whether players remove The Void or simply give up on that location, Sentry's own Power output and pressure deserves more attention and praise.

1 Shadow King

The ability to remove or reduce an opponent's Power-building progress should never be taken for granted, yet somehow cards like Valkyrie and Shadow King remain underappreciated. While Valkyrie is an expensive 5-Cost card that sets all others at its location to 3 Power, Shadow King is a 3-Cost that sets them all to their base Power instead.

Shadow King is seriously underrated and overlooked, as he can render cards like Venom, Angela, Bishop, Kitty Pryde, and Hit-Monkey useless. This is an incredible tool to have at one's disposal. Like Dazzler, Shadow King can slot seamlessly into many decks, including those with Silver Surfer for that +2 Power.
