Marvel Comics' multiverse has brought about some weird and wonderful characters over the years, and no hero is immune to alternate-reality versions of themselves popping up. The most prominent of which seems to be Spider-Man, who has more variants than the average fan can count.

Spider-Man's variants have become more popular and well-known with the release of the Spider-Verse films and the highly popular Spider-Man games. However, not all variants are just Peter Parker from other realities — some often have interesting and different powers than the Spider-Man everyone is used to.

10 Dr. Aaron Aikman

Created By Dustin Weaver; First Appeared In Edge Of Spider-Verse Volume 1 #3 By Dustin Weaver And Clayton Cowles

Dr Aaron Aikman as spider-man in marvel comics in front of tall buildings

Dr. Aaron Aikman was a scientist who specialized in the use of insect venom for medical purposes. As such, it is no real surprise that he subjected himself to his own experiments with a venomous spider and, as a result, gained some superhuman powers.

Dr. Aaron Aikman's spider-like powers weren't as extensive as the other Spider-Men, though he did gain superhuman strength and agility. The Spider-Armor he created for himself really sets him apart. This armor supplements the powers he didn't gain in his transformation into Spider-Man, and while he doesn't seem to have any Spidey-Senses, rocket boosters and advanced neuro-pulse stingers set his powers apart from Peter Parker.

9 Spider-Rex

Pter Ptarker was originally a Pteranodon in the midst of being attacked by the T-Rex Norrannosaurman when they were both hit by a meteor filled with venomous spiders. The result was the two dinosaurs switching bodies and Pter Ptarker gaining spider powers, and thus, Spider-Rex was born.

Spider-Rex's powers are different from Peter Parker's in the obvious ways, being that he is a literal dinosaur. This comes with advantages such as natural strength, size, and the ability to induce fear, but also many challenges. It is harder for Spider-Rex to web swing as a result of his size, but despite the logistics, he's a fun and cool character.

Spiderling's powers are much the same as her father's, if not a little weaker due to her age. However, Anna-May's most notable power difference from Peter Parker's is her evolved Spider-Sense, which allows her to see and feel the impending danger from the future, making it much more effective.

Silk has pretty much all the same powers as Peter Parker does, if a little less strength, but she is highly agile. Miles Morales has all the fundamental Spider-Man abilities like Peter Parker, such as strength, agility, and the Spider-Sense. In addition to these, however, Miles Morales also has the ability to produce an electric current from his body, which he can use and manipulate in different ways. Morales can also camouflage himself and his clothes, which is very handy when fighting crime.

As Spider-Man 2099, Miguel O'Hara is a futuristic, advanced version of Peter Parker's Spider-Man, with some differences in powers. Ai Apaec is known as the Decapitator and Dark Spider-Man. He has similar powers to Peter Parker, with the addition of multiple different abilities. Ai Apaec is immortal, has a venomous bite, and can adapt in underwater situations by collecting oxygen from the water molecules around him.
