In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, the Fierce Deity Mask gave Link one of the coolest character designs in the Zelda game series. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can tap into that divine power source once again in by searching out and finding the Fierce Deity Armor set hidden by the mysterious Misko.

The Fierce Deity armor set and sword are some of the most powerful pieces of equipment in TOTK, and give Link some strong attack boosts. Each piece of the armor set gives Link an attack power increase, and when worn as a full set, it provides him with a charged attack stamina bonus. Additionally, the Fierce Deity Sword on its own is one of the strongest weapons in the game, boasting an awesome 38 base attack power.

How to Start the Fierce Deity Set Quest and Get the Fierce Deity Sword

Link receiving the Fierce Deity Sword in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

While players can technically go and find every piece of the Fierce Deity armor set at any point, they won't be able to get the Fierce Deity Sword without indulging in Misko's Fierce Deity Treasure quest. Not only that, but visiting Cephla Lake Cave right away will award Link with the Ember Trousers. This is an interesting piece of equipment in their own right, so the initial trip won't be entirely fruitless.

To initiate Misko's quest, players should feed one of the dogs at Foothill stable in the Eldin region just south of Death Mountain. After feeding the good boy three times in a row, it will lead Link to a nearby cave opening just north of the stable. This is Cephla Lake Cave, and the location of the Misko's Treasure: The Fierce Deity quest. However, the cave is filled with dozens of treasure chests buried in sand that all have one green rupee in them each.

To help find the correct chest and Misko's first clue to the location of the Fierce Deity gear, Link will have to feed the dog sitting out by the tent near the cave's entrance. After getting in its good graces, the dog will lead Link to the proper treasure chest that will award him with the Ember Trousers and three clues to the location of the Fierce Deity armor set. Once players find every piece and return to Cephla Lake Cave clothed in the full set, Misko will open a secret cavern entrance which will lead to a chest containing the Fierce Deity Sword.

Where to Find Each Piece of the Fierce Deity Armor Set

Link at the Akkala Citadel Ruins finding the Fierce Deity Armor in Tears of the Kingdom

The Fierce Deity Mask can be found in the Skull Lake Cave in Northern Akkala (coordinates 3316, 3418, 0191). Once the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower is unlocked, players won't be able to miss it: the Skull Lake area looks like a giant human skull when viewed on the map. Skull Lake Cave can be entered through a high rock formation that appears to be the skull's right eye.

The cave itself is pretty straightforward, requiring the destruction of some breakable boulders and being filled with a bunch of Stalkoblins. However, at the end of the cave, Link will encounter a Stalnox. The best way to take this beast down is to shoot a well-placed arrow in its eye, and then proceed to attack it while its stunned. After defeating the monster, players can find the Fierce Deity Mask in a chest at the top of a rock formation in the center of the room (identifiable by Misko's flags).

The Fierce Deity Armor is located in Akkala Citadel Ruins Summit Cave (coordinates 3297, 1492, 0394), just west of Tarrey Town. Players should be cautious in this area because not only is there a Flame Gleeok close by, there is also a Gloom Spawn that regularly haunts the area. The entrance to the cave itself is inside the central building of the ruins. However, players will have to crouch through a small opening on the southern side of the building because the front entrance is blocked off with immovable debris. Once through the cave entrance, the chest with the armor will be right there in the first room marked with Misko's signature flag decorations, making it hard to miss.

The final piece of the set, the Fierce Deity Boots, can be found at the Ancient Tree Stump (coordinates -1107, -0440, 0064) just southwest of Lookout Landing at the center of a circular lake. The cave here has a basic Like Like and a bunch of Keese, but other than that it isn't very dangerous. After killing or avoiding the monsters here, Link will have to make his way to the southern part of the cave and cut through some vines to get through a small opening. After climbing the tree in the center of the room to the very top and cutting through one more set of vines, Link will find himself face to face with Misko's chest containing the Fierce Deity Boots.
