See You in My 19th Life's Ban Jieum might have two people rivaling for Moon Seoha's affections -- both of whom are difficult for her to win against.
As per Soompi, See You in My 19th Life released the stills for Episode 3, teasing a rather unexpected rival for Ban Jieum. Jieum, played by Shin Hyesun, runs in the rain to Moon Seoha's, portrayed by Ahn Bohyun, house to see him. However, after she confesses to Seoha that she likes him, the door to his house opens and Yoon Chowon, played by Ha Yunkyung, emerges, drying her hair. What stuns Jieum the most is that Chowon was her sister in her previous life when she lived as Yoon Joowon.
How See You in My 19th Life Begins
The live-action adaptation of the popular reincarnation webcomic See You in My 19th Life premiered on TVING and Netflix on June 17 with the first two episodes. The premiere begins by introducing Jieum in her 18th life as Yoon Joowon, who accompanies her mother when she visits her ill friend. While her mother chats with her friend, Joowon starts talking to Moon Seoha, the son. Joowon has lived 17 lives prior to her 18th, but this is the first time she has ever truly felt like her age and feels like she can be herself. That all comes to an abrupt halt when her life is cut short by a tragic car accident that kills her and restarts the reincarnation cycle once more.
When she wakes up in her next life three days later, Joowon no longer exists. Instead, Jieum has taken her place, and her only concern is to find Seoha. Using all her skills and knowledge from her previous lives, Jieum sets out to find Seoha again. Little does she know, Seoha has never forgotten about the strange girl he met when he was nine years old, even after many years have passed.
See you in My 19th Life's Spinoff Episodes
Written and illustrated by Lee Hey, See You in My 19th Life launched on WEBTOON in December 2020 and wrapped up in December 2022. Following the launch of the K-Drama, See You in My 19th Life released a new spinoff called Memories which follows Joowon and Seoha finding a mysterious necklace belonging to the latter's mother. The first episode dropped on June 21.
Episodes 3 and 4 of See You in My 19th Life will launch on Netflix in selected regions on June 24.
