Izuku Mirodiya, otherwise known as Deku, is a brooding UA student in this My Hero Academia Season 7 key visual.

A poster for the upcoming seventh installment of the Studio Bones anime My Hero Academia was released, as reported by Comic Book. The visual depicts the series protagonist standing in a nondescript environment with poignant text surrounding him. Across the bottom of the poster are the English words "7th Season coming." Additionally, beside Deku is a small passage written in Japanese, which roughly translates to "Never walk alone."

Izuku Midoriya in My Hero Academia Season 7 Poster

Deku is pictured in the illustration wearing his UA High School uniform, looking up to the sky. He is presented in monochrome, with the only splashes of color including his piercing green eyes and a yellow cape wrapped around his neck. This cape is highly sentimental to Deku as it belonged to his mentor Gran Torino, who was instrumental in helping him to understand his quirk. It was also integral to his "Dark Deku" outfit in the show's latest season.

My Hero Academia's Dark Hero Arc

The "Never walk alone" passage written next to Deku plays into the themes of teamwork demonstrated by the show, especially in the latest season. The second cour of MHA Season 6 adapted the "Dark Hero" arc, which saw the typically optimistic Izuku converted into a reckless vigilante who worked alone. This drew him into the firing line of his fellow Class-1A students, who fought hard to bring him back to UA. The fight included Tenya Iida, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Mina Ashido and more struggling to save their friend. The storyline concluded with an emotional speech from Ochaco Uraraka begging the citizens hiding in the school to accept Midoriya back.

My Hero Academia, based on the manga written by Kohei Horikoshi, concluded its sixth season in March 2023. The first half of this season focussed on the "Paranormal Liberation War" arc, which followed the UA students and pro heroes as they attempted to bring down the criminal organization. However, the resulting damage and conflict left the public's faith in hero society at an all-time low. The series then brought the previously mentioned "Dark Hero" arc to life, kicking off the "Final Act Saga." Season 6 concluded with the series debut of Star and Stripe, the number one American hero.

The anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll. Additionally, the manga is available to read via VIZ Media with a Shonen Jump subscription.
