“I am the screeching fingernail on the chalkboard of justice. I am the sour ball in the candy jar of goodness. I am NEGADUCK!” Dynamite Entertainment is giving the quotable and abominable Negaduck his own comic book series.

Dynamite Entertainment announced its next Disney series, Negaduck, which will be written by Jeff Parker with art from Ciro Cangialos. The first issue will have many variant covers by Joshua Middleton, Jae Lee, Trish Forstner and Steve Lieber. The comics will follow Darkwing Duck's villainous candy-stealing doppelganger, Negaduck, and his exciting crime spree.

However, his new venture won't be easy, and not because of any heroes. This time, his fellow criminals will be standing in his way by trying to steal his spotlight and his loot. But readers shouldn't worry, Negaduck won't let that keep him down, and he has a solution. The description for the series reveals "he’s ready to begin a reign of crime and terror the likes of which St. Canard has never seen — except… dang it, all of the other villains are ripping off his ideas! What’s a criminal mastermind to do when the city’s thick with other criminals, stealing his shine? Why, take his villainy on the road, of course!"

Negaduck Follows Dynamite Entertainment's Other Disney Titles

This fun series is sure to be a hit as Dynamite Entertainment's other Disney series have been phenomenal. Its recent Disney Villains comics that featured iconic villains such as Scar and Maleficent have been very popular among fans. Disney Villains: Scar (by Chuck Brown, Trevor Fraley, Chiara Di Francia and Jeff Eckleberry) gave the titular character a twisted new origin story. Disney Villains: Maleficent (by Soo Lee) followed the witch before the events of Sleeping Beauty. Dynamite has also released several other successful Disney titles such as Gargoyles and Darkwing Duck.
