New Captain America: New World Order set photos have revealed the return of the Roxxon Corporation.

Shared on Instagram, the photos feature an ad for the fictional conglomerate, which has appeared or been mentioned in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2008's Iron Man. While Roxxon has occasionally factored into the plots of MCU series like Agent Carter and Cloak & Dagger and Daredevil, the corporation usually only appears via background Easter eggs. The release of the Roxxon set photo comes one week after set photos from New World Order offered fans their first look at Anthony Mackie's updated Captain America outfit.

Filming on New World Order began in March under the working title "Rochelle Rochelle," a reference to a fictional film that exists within the Seinfeld universe. The Cloverfield Paradox director Julius Onah is helming the fourth Captain America film, working off a screenplay written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier). While plot details remain under wraps, set photos have seemingly confirmed the arrival of the Serpent Society, a villainous snake-themed organization that has terrorized Captain America in the comics since 1985.

Which MCU Stars Are in Captain America 4?

After debuting as Sam Wilson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Mackie returns in New World Order as the winged hero, who has assumed the mantle of Captain America from John Walker in the 2021 Disney+ limited series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Also returning from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, with the latter now operating as the new Falcon. The upcoming superhero film will also feature several stars from The Incredible Hulk (2008), such as Liv Tyler as Bruce Banner's ex-girlfriend Betty Ross and Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/Leader. Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross will also appear, portrayed by Harrison Ford who stepped into the role following William Hurt's death in 2022.

Sam Wilson Is Not a Superhero

Although Sam Wilson is Captain America, as well as an Avenger, Mackie has stated that he has never viewed the character as a superhero. "He doesn't have a super serum, so his superpower is his humanity. So, I think with him, he has to come to the stage with a very different understanding of what it is to be a good guy or be a bad guy and what are the decisions that make you toe that line in the way that you did," Mackie explained in February 2023. "So, I just see him as more of a humane Cap as opposed to a distinctive judge Cap -- [a] Cap of judgment, where this is right and this is wrong. There are decisions that make you choose right or wrong."

Captain America: New World Order opens in theaters on May 3, 2024, as part of Phase 5 of the MCU.
