Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is set to embark on a more comedic journey in its second season.

According to StarTrek.com, The show creator, Myers, has expressed a desire to incorporate comedic elements in the upcoming season while emphasizing that the humor will not take away from the core sci-fi aspects of the series. Myers stated, "It never takes away from the sci-fi elements. We are making a show for human beings to watch and experience in human being ways."

During the first season, the creative team discovered the cast's exceptional comedic talent and decided to push them further in that direction for Season 2. Myers weighed in on this and said, "One of the things that we were delighted to discover was that we have a cast that's really good at comedy... They're really into it." The cast's positive response encouraged the creators to add more comedy in the new season. In an earlier interview with CBR, cast members also hinted towards a more humorous approach in the show.

The show's creators and cast members are thrilled about adding humor. Anson Mount, who plays Captain Christopher Pike expressed, "For me, it was a tremendous amount of fun... According to Goldsman, the decision to explore a comedic tone was driven by the remarkable comedic abilities of the cast.
