Fans of The Super Mario Bros. Movie can finally stream the popular animated film as the acclaimed video game adaptation is headed to Peacock.

Per ComicBook.com, The Super Mario Bros. Movie will soon debut on Peacock, as confirmed during a new commercial airing on the streaming service. However, Peacock has yet to confirm which date the movie will be available, responding to user queries asking about specifics via their official customer care Twitter account. "No news at the moment regarding The Super Mario Bros. Movie coming to Peacock," the streamer said. "We are always looking to add the content you love! Should you have any further inquiries, feel free to reach back out to us!"

News of The Super Mario Bros. Movie's streaming premiere comes after the film became available via premium video-on-demand (PVOD), 4K and Blu-ray editions. The Nintendo and Illumination title hit PVOD on May 16 while it debuted via 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital in North America on June 13. The digital and home releases for The Super Mario Bros. Movie were deemed the "Power Up Edition," featuring over 30 minutes of bonus content for fans to enjoy.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie became one of the most hallowed video game adaptations and successful animated films ever made following its release this past April. It's the highest-grossing movie of 2023 so far, earning $1.34 billion at the worldwide box office on a $100 million budget. The blockbuster's global ticket sales take also makes it the second-highest-grossing animated title of all time behind 2019's Frozen 2, which earned over 1.453 billion worldwide.

Starring Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Mario's brother, Luigi, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, The Super Mario Bros. Movie became a hit with fans almost instantly after initial concerns about Pratt's capability to play the popular video game character. Despite mixed reviews for the film critically, Pratt's performance was widely praised as well as the movie's visual spectacle and staying true to the video game series' essence.
