10 Spider-Girl

May Parker swinging through the city as Spider-Girl.

Mayday Parker, the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, is the Spider-Girl in the universe known as MC2. Thus hailing from Earth-982, Mayday first debuted in a What If...? story but has since cemented herself as a notable web-slinger. The character's fantastic costume is incredibly traditional in its design.

This Spider-Girl has suited up in a suit that's reminiscent of her father's creation. Although it relies on a black and red motif rather than the usual blue, the webbing is consistent throughout the garment. A slightly altered spider logo sets her apart from the other Spiders in the multiverse. It's a great modernization of a classic look.

9 Arachne

Julia Carpenter is traditionally from Earth-616. The character has taken on a range of monikers in her career from Spider-Woman and Madame Web to Arachne. She's a fantastic candidate to replace Spider-Man but her suit is reminiscent of a different Marvel antagonist or anti-hero.

Arachne has been most commonly associated with a black and white suit that reflects Venom or Spider-Man during his symbiote era. The mask is brilliantly designed to reveal aspects of Carpenter's face, allowing her to emote more. Although the costume's webbing is absent, the wide spider logo stands out beautifully on the dark background. This is a great monochrome design with an edge.

8 Araña

Aña Sofia Corazón or Anya Corazon hails from Earth-616 and has been depicted as both a variation of Spider-Girl and the hero Araña. The gymnast has sported a black and white costume during her career, not too dissimilar to that of Julia Carpenter.

But Araña is defined in the modern era by a unique look. Black, white, and red form the basis of the costume. The traditional mask is replaced with a pair of goggles, while the spider logo feels like an ancient rune. The suit is practical and maneuverable and is complemented by a neck scarf that could also work as a face mask. It's trendy, vibrant, and reflects Corazón's personality well.

7 Spiderling

Spiderling in Marvel Comics

Anna-May Parker is the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson on Earth-18119. The character has usually used the name Spiderling and is a budding hero who is still learning the ropes. She has often sported a blue suit similar to Spider-Mans but with a single red eye mask and black pants.

However, Annie has upgraded her look to something a little more fortified. The eye mask has been replaced with a full face mask that leaves the mouth exposed. This is heavily inspired by Spider-Man's red iteration. She has armored plating across her torso, knees, and shoulders. Her shoes and pants are certainly reminiscent of her usual look though. The overall feel is one that speaks to Parker's need to be forged in the fires of battle.

6 SP//dr

There's a lot of debate over who's the strongest Spider-Man, but it's hard to argue against Peni Parker having the strongest tech. The hero of Earth-14512 co-pilots a robotic suit alongside a spider. Known as the hero SP//dr the mech has taken on a few different designs.

The version of SP//dr in the current comics is inspired by the Into The Spider-Versemovie. However, regardless of the iteration, the red and blue suit is futuristic, well-armored, and can be both cute and threatening. It's presented like a character unto itself, which is not something that can be said for every costume.

5 Sun-Spider

Charlotte Webber hails from Earth-20023 and masquerades as Sun-Spider. The impressive hero has E.D.S. and she uses crutches or her wheelchair in battle. Webber is quickly becoming a prominent member of the Spider-Verse and her costume is a stand-out.

Sun-Spider utilizes an orange and black design which is starkly different from her allies. With her web-shooters ingenuously channeled through her crutches, they are a fantastic part of her suit. Her hat and jacket modernize the look and add a little more personality, while the red cross over her mask is a unique and easily identifiable detail.

4 Spinstress

Princess Petra as Spinstress

Princess Petra of Earth-423 hails from an alternate universe where everything is portrayed like a musical fairytale. The singing slinger has suited up as Spinstress and battles against supervillains that don't feel too dissimilar to Disney's foes. The character's costume is very much inspired by those fables.

Spinstress wears a face mask traditionally worn at masked balls. The blue, gold, and white color scheme feels incredibly regal. Her sleeves are silky, and her suit is more like a dress than a classic superhero costume. But Spinstress also varies her look with a slightly more practical skirt and tiara combination that's exquisitely detailed with subtle webbing.

3 Silk

Silk hangs on a web between buildings in Silk Vol 0.

Cindy Moon of Earth-616 is rapidly establishing herself as a noble hero and is likely to become a leading Avengers member down the line. Suiting up as Silk, Moon has spent a career cementing herself outside of Spider-Man's shadow and her suit reflects that.

Silk's costume is red, black, and silvery. The usual spider logo is replaced with lightning bolt effects and instead of a full face mask, Silk utilizes a red bandana across her mouth. The webbing throughout the costume is easily seen though but there is something striking about the red detailing across Moon's fists.

2 Spider-Woman

Jessica Drew as Spider Woman, gliding between skyscrapers.

Jessica Drew of Earth-616 has experimented with her look in recent years, but Spider-Woman will always be defined by her most regular costume. The character is a major player in the Marvel Universe and her suit is just as iconic as Peter Parker's. It also boasts some niche details that really resonate with the character.

Spider-Woman has chosen a red, black, and yellow color scheme for her suit. The web wings are very practical, and the yellow gloves draw attention to her fantastic power set as if warning of her venom blasts. The logo in the center of the torso feels similar to the designs on the back of venomous spiders, and the outline of the mask is totally original.

1 Ghost-Spider (Ghost Spider)

Spider-Gwen with her clones in Marvel Comics

Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 did not experience the same fate as Stacy in the regular Earth-616 continuity. The character instead became Ghost-Spider, although she has also been nicknamed Spider-Girl and Spider-Gwen. The character's costume is perhaps the most stunning in all the spider continuity.

Ghost-Spider's white, pink, and black design definitely reflects the ethereal nature of the name. The hood and ballet shoes are both subtle details that nod to the personality of the character. The webbing stitching is used in limited but intelligent areas, really popping against the pink backgrounds. The mask is cleverly very plain to draw attention to those emotive eyes.
