Link has taken on various unique looks throughout the Zelda series. Some of those looks give him a more light-hearted, childish appearance, like in Wind Waker, while others stick to a more classic one, like in Skyward Sword. By far the most mature of Link's incarnations was in Twilight Princess, and this has made it one of the most recognizable and beloved Link outfits in the series.

Tears of the Kingdom gives players the chance to find many of Link's most memorable outfit sets in the Depths of Hyrule, including his Twilight Princess look. The aptly named "Twilight" set has a great, battle-ready look complete with chainmail beneath the signature green tunic. Not only does it look great, but the Twilight set also gives Link an attack bonus when worn all together, giving it both style and substance.

How to Get the Trousers of Twilight

Ancient Underground Fortress Trousers of Twilight location in Tears of the Kingdom

The Trousers of Twilight are located in the Ancient Underground Fortress beneath South Akkala just north of the South Akkala Plains Chasm. After landing in the chasm, head north toward Niuzimod Lightroot, which is itself at the bottom of a steep drop over a cliff. After lighting the area, the silver chest containing the Trousers of Twlight will be easily visible at the bottom of the valley in the ruins of the Ancient Underground Fortress.

There are some Bokoblin and Lizalfos here, but players don’t actually need to fight them in order to find and open the chest. Link can simply glide in, open the chest, and fast-travel out before his enemies even know what hit them.

How to Get the Tunic of Twilight

Rist Mine location in the Depths in Tears of the Kingdom

The Tunic of Twilight is located in Rist Mine, parallel to the Rist Peninsula: the spiral-shaped piece of land in the easternmost part of East Akkala Plains. Immediately after landing in the East Akkala Plains Chasm, players may be met with an Obsidian Frox who frequents this area. The Frox’s attacks are pretty slow for the most part, so it shouldn’t be hard to avoid. To defeat it, players only need to throw or drop Bomb flowers into its mouth whenever it inhales. After the Frox is stunned, attacking and breaking all the Ore deposits on its back will bring it down swiftly.

After following the spiral landmass to the east of the Chasm, Link will eventually reach the Rist Mine: a well-lit area crawling in Bokoblins. From here, the path is pretty straightforward; Link just has to continue through the tunnel while avoiding or defeating monsters along the way. Eventually, he'll reach a much darker area that makes up the inner chamber of the Mine. Luckily, this is also home to the Kimimeg Lightroot. After illuminating the area, the chest containing the Tunic of Twilight will be clearly visible just north of the Lightroot.

How to Get the Cap of Twilight

Link Wandering into the Gleeok Den with King Gleeok flying in the background in Tears of the Kingdom

The Cap of Twilight is by far the most difficult of the Twilight armor pieces to get. It requires taking down one of Tears of the Kingdom's toughest bosses: The King Gleeok. To find it is simple enough: players need to locate the Gleeok Den in the Depths below Thyphlo Ruins, west of Death Mountain and just north of Korok Forest. The easiest path there is to dive into Drenan Highlands Chasm, to the west of the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower, and then head back East to the den.

Immediately upon entering the Gleeok Den, players will likely see their three-headed foe flying around the area in search of prey. The King Gleeok is easily one of the strongest monsters in the game, so players should go into this fight amply prepared. Having plenty of arrows is a must against any Gleeok, and bringing Sundelion cooked foods will give Link leeway if he takes Gloom damage.

Once underway, this fight will carry on in much the same manner as other Gleeok battles. However, there are some added twists. For one, the King Gleeok is a combination of all three other elemental Gleeoks, meaning it will throw lightning-, ice-, and fire-based attacks at Link. When the Gleeok heads into the sky in the final stages of the battle, it will let off a combination of multiple elemental attacks, making it that much more difficult to ride any one of them up into attacking range. After Link finally manages to bring down the King Gleeok, he'll receive access to the chest in the center of the room containing his rightful reward: the Cap of Twilight.

Twilight Armor Set Bonus and Fairy Fountain Upgrade Costs

Tears of the Kingdom = Great Fairy Kaysa looking down at something

As mentioned previously, wearing the full Twilight Armor set gives Link an attack-up bonus. However, it should be noted that this bonus is not quite as much as either the Fierce Deity or Barbarian armor sets due to the fact that they have stacked attack-up bonuses on each piece of armor individually.
