Gentle Giant LTD unveiled an imposing Imperial bust perfect for Star Wars collectors, particularly those invested in the journey of Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor's Cal Kestis.

The 1/6 scale resin mini-bust depicts The Commander of the Purge Troopers, the specialized Stormtrooper faction faced by players in Jedi: Fallen Order. The sleek black-armored and blaster-bearing collectible measures 6 inches in height and sells for $130.00. The Commander of the Purge Trooper has a limited run of 2,000 pieces, so collectors will want to act fast when pre-orders open for the figure on Gentle Giant LTD's website on June 22 at midnight EST.

After pre-orders are fulfilled, customers will receive their limited-run Purge Trooper Commander during the first quarter of 2024. Each figure will arrive in a full-color box with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The Commander of the Purge Troopers can find its home on a Star Wars collector's shelf alongside other 2023 releases, including the Star Wars Black Series figure of Boba Fett-henchman Krrsantan or Denuo Novo's Mandalorian helmet.

Who Are the Purge Troops in Star Wars Jedi?

Purge Troopers represent a specialized sect of Stormtroopers tasked with eliminating the surviving Jedi Knights of Order 66 and are often seen flanking Inquisitors. This Stormtrooper variant was first introduced in Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith #13 and appeared subsequently in the Jedi games and Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which saw the return of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. A full-sized collectible version of Obi-Wan Kenobi's Purge Trooper was made available by Kotobukiya after the series' release last year.

Gentle Giant's bust depicts the Purge Trooper Commander featured in Jedi: Fallen Order, the first of the beloved video game franchise centered around Jedi Cal Kestis. The Second Sister and her Purge Troopers hunted Cal in Jedi: Fallen Order and were brought to life by a voice cast that included Steve Blum, David W. Collins, Dave Boat, Walter Gray and Critical Role's Matthew Mercer. The story of Cameron Monaghan's Jedi continued in the follow-up entry Jedi: Survivor and the character's lore between the two games was explored in the novel Jedi: Battle Scars. The Jedi series is one of Star Wars' many lore-expanding video game series, with other entries including Star Wars: Battlefront and the upcoming open-world game Star Wars Outlaws.
