A new clip gives fans a preview of the Venture Bros. film finale.
The preview was shared by illustrator Ken Plume on Twitter. "Would ya like to see a new clip from the upcoming Venture Bros feature-length spectacular Radiant Is The Blood Of The Baboon Heart?" he wrote. "You do. But you *also* need to pre-order the bonus feature-laden Blu-Ray, for…. THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN."
The clip sees the Monarch and his wife, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, arguing over how to proceed after the revelation that the Monarch and Dr. Venture are related and may in fact be half-brothers. While Dr. Mrs. reiterates that the Guild of Calamitous Intent needs to confirm their relationship before anything can be done, the Monarch expresses his frustration at how the Guild's bureaucracy, which now includes his wife, has continually kept him from his true purpose: hating Dr. Venture.
Venture Bros. Returns After a Major Cliffhanger
First premiering in 2004 on Adult Swim, The Venture Bros. aired eighty-two episodes across seven seasons before being canceled in 2020, ending the series on a cliffhanger. In 2021, it was announced that Venture, alongside fellow canceled Adult Swim favorite Metalocalypse, would be getting feature films that will act as finales for the series. The Venture Bros. movie, later revealed to be titled Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart, will be written by series creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer and be directed by Publick.
A synopsis for Radiant reads, "A nationwide manhunt for Hank Venture leads to untold dangers and unexpected revelations, while The Monarch is literally out for Dr. Venture’s blood. An imposing evil from the past reemerges to wreak havoc on the Ventures, The Guild, and even the Monarch marriage—it will take friends and foes alike to restore the Ventures’ world to order… or end it once and for all." A trailer for the film was released in June.
In addition to the new movie, the complete series of The Venture Bros. has been released on DVD and digital. The collection includes all episodes of the show with commentary from the creators, as well as all special features that have been included in previous home video releases. The digital collection retails for $79.99 while the DVD collection goes for $134.99.
The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart releases on digital on July 21 and Blu-ray on July 25. All episodes of The Venture Bros are available to stream on Max.
